As a former top athlete and passionate trainer, I understand how important combining physical and mental strength is.

I have experienced the highs of success and overcome the challenges that come with it. This has fueled my passion for inspiring others. With High Power Gym, my goal is to help people bring out the best in themselves, both physically and mentally. My mission is to motivate and guide you toward personal growth and resilience, so you can face life stronger and more empowered.

From a young age, I have been passionate about sports. After completing various educational programs, I immediately entered the world of coaching and training.

With my broad interest and experience in various sports disciplines, I can guide and support members in achieving their goals to the fullest. From martial arts to triathlons, I’ve experienced it all firsthand. Elements from these disciplines have been integrated into our concept to offer the most effective programs, both physically and mentally, for our members.

Ik ben Daryl Janmaat, voormalig professioneel voetballer en trotse oprichter van High Power Gym. 

Mijn carrière begon op jonge leeftijd bij Tonegido in Voorburg en leidde me via clubs als Feyenoord, SC Heerenveen, Newcastle United en Watford naar het Nederlands Elftal, waar ik 35 interlands speelde. Een absoluut hoogtepunt? Het WK 2014 in Brazilië, met die legendarische 5-1 overwinning op Spanje.
Als verdediger stond ik bekend om mijn snelheid, kracht en mentale weerbaarheid. Met een sterke focus op voeding, extra trainingen en discipline haalde ik het beste uit mezelf – en dat wil ik nu ook voor jou. Bij High Power Gym help ik mensen hun doelen te bereiken en te ontdekken waartoe ze écht in staat zijn. Of het nu gaat om fysieke fitheid, mentale kracht of persoonlijke groei: als je ergens 100% voor gaat, is alles mogelijk.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND
OUR TRAINING METHOD

At High Power Gym, we train based on five heart rate training zones. By adjusting your effort to match your heart rate, we ensure maximum effectiveness. Most of the training takes place in Zone 3, where fat burning is at its peak. We also strategically transition to Zone 4 to improve your endurance and stimulate lactate in your muscles. Our goal is to burn as many calories as possible while building muscle strength. Additionally, Zone 2 plays a vital role in strengthening your foundational fitness and improving your metabolism.
